Enhance Your Spring Skin Care Routine

For all of these simple things and much more, a flower was born
It blooms to spread love and joy, faith and hope to people forlorn
Inside every man lives the seed of a flower
If he looks within he finds beauty and power
— Minnie Riperton

It’s a few months into the new year! Happy 2020! If you are celebrating the new year in a place like me (Sacramento, California) it’s been pretty cold outside. While the cold and rainy season here in Sac brings days of rain, it does lend for some weather perfect for warm baths and pretty scented skin care products. This frigid climate is one of the main reasons that a proper skin care routine is necessary. Chapping wind, cold temperatures, and drying indoor heating can lead to dry, cracked skin. Now is the perfect time to give your skin the pampering it needs as spring time is upon us!

Want to prep your skin for short sleeves & skirts? Let’s talk about this in terms of steps: Cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and soaking. Here are some tips that you can use to reverse dry skin and keep you feeling soft and supple this spring season.

Cleansing:

-Prep your facial skin by using oil or an oil based cold cream to take off makeup (rub on cold cream, use warm washcloth to remove)

-Use bar soap on your face for an extra step of cleansing (Get yours here)

-Be sure to moisturize after cleansing all skin (body or face)

-Don’t use hot water, warm is just fine (Hot water will dry out your skin. Cold water is known to close pores.)

-Use a facial mist for toning, moisturizing, and refreshing during the day (Get yours here)

Exfoliate:

-Use body scrub at least once a week (Get yours here)

-it helps with exfoliating skin to reveal younger skin underneath

-it helps moisturize with the oil blend ingredients

-Don’t over do it, our scrubs are safe to use daily, but suggested use is 3 times per week

Moisturize:

-Use body cream at least once daily (at least after you shower and when you wash your hands) (Get yours here)

-Best to use moisturizer/body cream after towel drying off, it helps keep in moisture

-A thicker cream, such as Mellow Vibes helps reverse dry skin from wind & heaters

-Use body cream & socks at night to deep moisturize feet & keep those pedicures cute

Soak:

-Don’t use overly hot water in the tub

-Soaking helps with balancing & detox skin

-The oils in the bath bomb products help moisturize also (Get yours here)

Practice makes perfect, but the routine is all worth it when you are taking care of your skin. You don’t have to wait until you are bearing your skin to make it nice!
