Roses Are A Beauty Routine's Best Friend

Born to blossom, bloom to parish.

Upon setting up our booth Global Local Mercado in November I noticed something. The Irie Body® booth had quite a few rose inspired products available for our clients. From rose infused facial mist to rose petal adorned bath bombs and soaps, we use rose in multiple products.

As you’ve probably guessed, rose is my favorite flower (shocker). It is always lovely to receive a bouquet of roses from my hubby, Anthony. I have also potted two rose bushes at our condo and I LOVE walking up the stairs greeted by my pretty flowers. I literally stop to smell my roses every time I can.

Not only are roses one of the most beautiful flowers with their velvety soft petals and vibrant colors, but they also serve as a huge benefit in the beauty and skin care department. The delecate rose petals are used for their astringent and antibacterial properties and are commonly used in the forms of essential oil, rose water, dried rose petals, rose powder. Roses are steamed in copper distilleries and ultimately release a volatile therapeutic compound into the water creating rose water. The rose hips are also harvested for their oils containing fatty acids and Vitamin A.

Beauty enhancing properties of roses have been used for centuries and is said to have been used by Queen Cleopatra herself! This time tested beauty ingredient is more than a pretty, it’s proven to work. I have experimented with using rose in multiple fashions in my skin care and it is one ingredient that I will not go without.

Here is a list of beauty benefits that roses can have in your skin care routine according to Skininc.com:

-antioxidants

-vitamin A & C (help with signs of aging)
